Meet Leticia
Leticia holds a Master’s degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of the Pacific. With over 14 years of experience as a school psychologist, she is both a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP).
She currently serves as President of the Bay Area Association of School Psychologists. Leticia is also an adjunct professor at UMASS Global and an active member of the Northern California Bilingual Roundtable. Her commitment to equity and advocacy is reflected in her role as a technical advisor for the California Department of Education’s 2020 presentation, Hispanic/Latinx Students and Significant Disproportionality.
She was recently elected to the California Association of School Psychologists board for the 2025-2026 school year as Region 1 representative. She continues to participate on the board through convention committee, professional development committee, and legislative action.
Leticia’s practice is rooted in culturally responsive assessment, strengths-based reporting, and bilingual evaluation practices informed by CHC theory. She is certified in animal-assisted therapy and partners with her therapy dog to support emotional regulation, build rapport, and create safe, welcoming environments for students. Her interventions blend compassion with precision, complementing her expertise in analyzing assessment data, developing accommodations for cognitive skills like fluid reasoning, and crafting holistic student profiles that integrate academic, social, and personal strengths.
Her technical proficiency includes refining educational summaries, organizing data, integrating teacher feedback, and leveraging tools like Sheets, AI tools, and gamified learning platforms to enhance student outcomes. Leticia is known for her innovative, equity-driven approach and her ability to translate complex data into actionable, student-centered support.

Adopted: March 10, 2014 from the Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation
Ziggs has been certified as a therapy dog since 2015. Ziggs has attended various types of trainings and obedience classes to become a therapy dog. He has earned his Canine Good Citizen certificate and completed the Therapy Dog Workshop.
Certified in animal-assisted therapy; we integrates a therapy dog to support emotional regulation and student engagement.
